My Story

I started RSE Consultancy after seeing friends and family who are self-employed or running small businesses either overpay for IT support or be left unsure whether their data was actually secure. Too often, they were paying for services they didn’t fully understand, or worrying about things like email scams, backups, and lost files with no one impartial to ask.

With IT — and now AI — becoming essential for even the smallest businesses, the pressure to “keep up” has increased. Email, invoices, banking, customer data, and day-to-day admin all rely on technology working properly, yet many people are expected to manage this without any real guidance. That gap is what led me to start RSE Consultancy.

I work in IT professionally and have spent years helping organisations use technology securely and effectively, but I wanted to offer something more personal for local businesses — clear, honest advice in plain English, without big-company fees, long contracts, or pressure to buy things you don’t need.
